Prepare and Write Image:

This step is for both free and licence version

After downloading the image UAV 4G Tool, you will need to write it to an SD card of at least 8GB using a program called balenaEtcher, which you can find and download at this page: https://www.balena.io/etcher, and then install it.

After installing the balenaEtcher program, open it and load the image by clicking the “Flash from file” button, selecting the path to the image where you downloaded it on your computer, then click on the “Select target” button and choose your SD card where you want to write the image. Then select the “Flash!” button and wait for the image to be written to the SD card.

Connect to Acces Point : 4G_Tool:

This step is for both free and licence version

Insert the written image into your Raspberry Pi and power it on. Let it boot up and in a minute, you will see the Access Point network named “UAV_4G_Tool”. Connect to it using the password: 12345abcde. You can change this password later in the program. After connecting to “UAV_4G_Tool”, open a browser and type: 192.168.77.1 or 192.168.77.1/uav4gtool (this IP  is the IP address for interface on the UAV 4G Tool or UAV 4G Tool Free in Access Point mode).

Activate UAV 4G Tool:

This step is just for licence version

To activate the UAV 4G Tool, you only need to follow one step: send an email to uav4gtools@gmail.com or https://discord.gg/tgNHZagXn6 with the unique ID number as shown in the picture, only the digits field, and within a maximum of 24 hours, but typically within 1 hour, you will receive a lifetime activation code. The license code is only valid for one hardware element (Raspberry Pi) and is not transferable to another Raspberry Pi. Destruction of the Raspberry Pi on which you activated the product will also cancel the license. So be careful not to damage the Raspberry Pi on which you installed the license.

After received the licence code , type licence code on licence field and press UPDATE button and after press REFRESH LICENCE button .  Raspbbery restarting and on the next boot you have UAV 4G Tool activated.

Dashboard:

This step is just for licence version

If everything went smoothly, you followed the steps to write the image to the SD card, and activated UAV 4G Tools correctly, you should have access to the program on the first page called DASHBOARD, as shown in the image on the left.

I will provide a brief description of it:

  1. In the center of the image, you have information about the companion computer (Raspberry Pi) and its type, which refers to the state of the processor, temperature, voltage, and the level of RAM memory usage.
  2. On the right-hand side, you have the status of the internet connection, the Access Point connection, the Mavlink connection, and the status of logging into the ZeroTier network. When the LED next to a status is green, it means that the connection is established, and when it is red, it means that there is no connection.
